OCNL is a non-profit community based group, organised by volunteers who are also local parents. We are a part of the UK Nappy Network and are supported by the Oxfordshire County Council through their real nappy loan scheme. We lend out kits to those living in Oxfordshire interested in trialling cloth nappies.
Please have a browse through the kits we offer. The variety kits (newborn size 5lbs - 12lbs, birth to potty size 12lbs - 35lbs, and XL 35lbs+) contain a mix of about 20 nappies and are ideal for trying different types and brands that are currently available on the market on an average budget (it cost about £300 to buy everything in our kits). We also hold some simple kits of one brand or a specific type of nappy. There is a small hire fee for variety and simple kits and all monies go back into the library's operations.
For families on a tight budget, OCNL also holds community kits. These are fully functional but older nappies that can be hired for a long term loan (default is 1yr) for a small one off fee. There won't be anything fancy in these kits and they are built on an adhoc basis to what's in inventory but they should do the job.
All kits come with a written how to use guide and a volunteer will be happy to do a demo and explain how to use the nappies when you come collect the kit.
If you would like to request a variety or simple kit you can do that through this site. We meet once a month usually on the last Satruday of the month at the Florence Park Community Centre (along with the Oxford Maternity Clothes Library). When community kits are available they can be hired directly from oxonclothnappylibrary@gmail.com
Please see the kit pages for further information. All kits are subject to our Terms and Conditions.
